Kendriya Vidyalaya Hakimpet is one of the oldest Vidyalayas of the Hyderabad region.   It   was established on third July 1983 in the D M C area.

Mr. Diwakar Reddy was the first Principal who had headed the Vidyalaya at the outset. This was followed by the contributions of erstwhile Principals, Chairmen and dedicated staff, who helped to nurture and  grow this institution to its present glory. The Present Principal, Smt D V SANDHYA, and her team of staff are continuing to do their best to carry on this task to excellence.

This Vidyalaya continued to function in the D M C area till March 2000. In the new millennium of 2000, the Vidyalaya shifted into the present campus, which is located in the Air Force Station Hakimpet, Ranga Reddy District. The campus is about fifteen Km away from the Sec-bad Railway station.      

This Vidyalaya has a majestic building spread over fifteen acres of land. It has a sprawling play ground, skating rink of international standard, a well equipped children's park and a beautiful landscape. Its natural, beautiful  and serene location makes it an ideal place where imparting education is a pleasure.
